An exciting opportunity has recently arisen to join the Future Home Care team in Kent as a Support Worker.
Future Home Care has rapidly become a leading care provider supporting learning disabled adults to live independent lifestyles within their own homes. Care and support is designed on an individual basis to meet the needs of the Service User and to promote their independence.
The main function of the Support Worker is to protect, promote and respect the rights of service users to lead an independent lifestyle of their own choosing.
Key Responsibilities will include: following an agreed plan of care for the individual service user, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained at all times, to involve and encourage service users to participate in all aspects of the running of their home, to assist in the development and promotion of a variety of activities for the service user and to support the service user in accessing community services to meet their needs.
Essential candidate specifications:
* Driving License
•Experience of working in the care sector (preferably Learning Disabilities)
•A passion for providing a high level of care to adults with Learning Disabilities
Desirable candidate specifications:
•NVQ Level 2/3/4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
•Experience of working with Learning Disabled Adults.
•Experience of Challenging Behaviour
•Experience of providing Personal Care
