Support Worker

Southampton, Hampshire, South East

£6.79 to £7.20 per Hour

We are currently looking to add to our team of Bank Support Workers due to the ongoing growth of the organisation.

A great opportunity to work around family, other employment and/or studies as you only work as and when you are available.

As a support worker you will support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs within a supported living environment, providing individually designed support ensuring that the service users receive the highest standard of support/care; appropriate to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

-Promoting and following the philosophy and practices of supported living; which seeks to protect, promote and respect the rights of the service users to lead an independent lifestyle.
-To ensure that support provided to the service user follows the agreed plan of care that focused on their individual needs.
-Assisting in the development and promotion of a variety of activities for the service users within the community.
-Supporting the service user in maintaining their property.

People that use our service have a wide variety of needs and interests and we aim to attract support workers from varied backgrounds, with varied skills, interests and experience.

Future Home Care is committed to the promotion and progression of its staff and further training and staff development is actively encouraged.

We are currently offering all staff a Learning Disability Qualification Level III once the probation period is successfully completed.

Essential candidate specifications:

-Relevant experience in a caring/supporting role in an employed, voluntary or personal capacity.
-The ability to work towards a Level 3 Certificate in Learning Disabilities.


Desirable candidate specifications:

-NVQ Level II or III in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification
-Full Clean Driving Licence

These postions are a 0 contract working as and when required.
