Relief Residential Child Care Worker

Moorfield is a large children?s home located on the edge of Sinfin Moor. It provides a residential service for up to seventeen young people, aged 13-17, across three units. Our young people have had troubled and traumatic backgrounds and as such frequently display challenging behaviour which requires assertive but sensitive handling. We are looking to recruit staff to cover for staff sickness and holidays. These positions require you to be flexible in terms of providing a minimum of 18½ hours availability for work a week. Weekend working and an occasional sleep-in at the centre will be required. Prior experience of direct work with young people would be an advantage. You will receive a comprehensive induction, regular supervision and training opportunities. In accordance with the Children?s Homes National Minimum Standards, applicants will be 21 years of age or above.
