To be responsible for the delivery of an Occupational Therapy service to a designated unit or specified patient group. To actively participate in the ongoing development of the Occupational Therapy service. To provide specialist clinical interventions led by evidence based practice.
As the UK leader in specialised psychiatric services, our client is based through England and Wales caring for people with mental illness, learning disabilities and acquired brain injuries. It also provides employee assistance programmes.
The business has four types of customers; patients, staff, purchasers and external agencies. Patients may suffer from personality disorders or mental illness. Patients within the unit are detained within the Mental Health Act. Referrals are taken from many sources including psychiatric hospitals, prisons and courts. The workforce of the organisation is multidisciplinary; a significant proportion of those are employed within the clinical disciplines; in addition other departments provide support services
