We are pleased to be sourcing a Senior Residential Care Worker for our clients crisis/activity service in Gwynedd that provides support to young people (EBD).
Our client is a leading provider of residential services for young people throughout the UK.
The Senior role involves supporting the Registered Home Manager in providing the best quality childcare in a safe and care focussed environment for the young people. When on shift you will have initial responsibilities for monitoring and supervision of staff and take responsibility for the day to day management, and guidance of colleagues whilst ensuring the welfare and care of the young people.
Applicants must be registered with the Care Council for Wales and have Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent. Experience of working with young people with challenging behaviours in a residential setting is essential as is a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
This role will involve participating in outdoor activities such as camping, mountain climbing and canoeing therefore an outdoor qualification would be an advantage.
