Future Home Care

Support Workers

Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, East Midlands

£6.30 to £7.35 per Hour

An exciting opportunity has recently arisen to join the Future Home Care team in Mansfield as a Support Worker.

Future Home Care has rapidly become a leading care provider supporting adults with learning disabilities to live independent lifestyles within their own homes. Care and support is designed on an individual basis to meet the needs of the Service User and to promote their independence.

The main function of the Support Worker is to protect, promote and respect the rights of service users to lead an independent lifestyle of their own choosing.

Key Responsibilities will include: following an agreed plan of care and support for the individual service user, involving and encouraging service users to participate in all aspects of the running of their home, to assist in the development and promotion of a variety of activities for the service user and to support the service user in accessing community services to meet their needs.

Essential candidate specifications:
•Experience of working in a care or support role. (Please note people with voluntary or personal experience will be considered)
•A passion for providing a high level of care and support to adults with learning disabilities.

Desirable candidate specifications:
•NVQ Level 2/3/4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
•Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities
•Experience of working with individuals that display challenging behavior
