An exciting opportunity has recently arisen to join the Future Home Care team in Southampton as a Support Worker due to the ongoing growth of the organisation.
Future Home Care has rapidly become a leading care provider supporting adults with learning disabilities to live independent lifestyles within their own homes. Care and support is designed on an individual basis to meet the needs of the Service User and to promote their independence.
The main function of the Support Worker is to protect, promote and respect the rights of service users to lead an independent lifestyle of their own choosing.
Key Responsibilities will include: following an agreed plan of care for the individual service user, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained at all times, to involve and encourage service users to participate in all aspects of the running of their home and to assist in the development and promotion of a variety of activities for the service user.
Essential candidate specifications:
-Experience of working in the care sector (preferably Learning Disabilities)
-Experience of supporting individuals with challenging behavior and complex needs.
Desirable candidate’s specifications:
-NVQ Level 2/3/4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
