Candidates must have previous experience of working with children who display challenging behaviour and posses NVQ level 3 in Children & Young People. You should also have the ability to form positive relationships with children. You should have excellent communication skills, have the ability to work as part of a team and be flexible. You must be able to deal with difficult situations and cope well under pressure. Wed, 11 Jan 2012 16:19:47 +0000 http://www.ecarers.com/jobs/17160/Team-Leader/n~0 Registered Manager http://www.ecarers.com/jobs/17159/Registered-Manager-/n~0 We are looking for a Registered Manager who has experience in the following; * A minimum of two years experience of direct work with children and young people who exhibit challenging behavior and emotional difficulties or may have learning difficulties. * Two or more years of working within a social care setting and is currently carrying out the responsibilities and duties of a junior or a Registered Manager * Can confidently assist with the development, implementation and review of the care plans for each young person placed at the home. * Has the ability to motivate staff and promote team work and high standards and is able to communicate effectively with young people and fellow professionals. * Has knowledge of National Minimum Standards Childcare Legislation including child protection and equal opportunities. The main purpose of the job will be to ensure that the home meets the standards and expectations of its statement of Purpose and promotes the welfare of children and at all times ensuring that the quality of care provided is consistent with National Minimum Standards. You will be involved in the support of young people and maintain safe consistent and understandable boundaries for them in relation to acceptable behavior. A crucial part of the role is to ensure that they are positively supported in reviewing there individual care plans which will reflect in there care, education, social, emotional, therapeutic and health needs. You will allocate a key worker to each young person to actually implement the care plan but it will be your responsibility to attend and contribute to the review meetings. It is imperative that you have direct involvement in the recruitment and retention of all staff and you will conduct induction programmes and ensure that Staff Appraisals are carried out to assist with there own development.
